It continues...

The catch up process is in full swing. Saturday, 10/26, we hosted a bday party for Jacob and Sydney. It was a chilly, windy day so we did our best to keep everyone warm with hot chocolate, hot boudain and hot dogs off the grill, hot gumbo, well, you get the picture. Our friends Chuck and Jennifer were able to get us a moonwalk for the day - a million thanks to you!!! The kids had a great time jumping and David and I enjoyed catching up with everyone. Sydney had a Tinkerbell vanilla cake and Jacob a chocolate Spiderman cake.

Funny note, Jacob was dying to open his gifts, as was Sydney. We told him that we'd open presents after we did cake. Jacob blew out his candles, Sydney blew out hers, and we started passing out cake to the kids. I was wrapped up in cutting cake and passing things out when David noticed Jacob was missing. He had proceeded to the next room, by himself, and began opening his presents while we were all eating cake. I guess he took us literally when we said, "presents after cake." That boy!
