A quick post before bed... Today we went to Jacob's Kindergarten Orientation. He's so excited to go to the "big school" like/with MacKenzie. His teacher, Mrs. Conner, seems genuinely nice, organized, and prepared to start out the school year. She had goodie bags for the children with a new box of crayons, glue stick, a pencil, and "night before confetti." There's a cute poem with the confetti, that is to be placed under their pillows tonight. She said she'll have some under her pillow too...
I know Jacob looks completely un-enthused in this picture, but he loved being back in the classroom. He was upset that I was disturbing him to take a picture! Mrs. Conner had all sorts of scavenger hunt games for the kids to familiarize themselves with the room, and special day before Kindergarten stories. I think Jacob's favorite part was his new box of crayons, because he literally colored for the rest of the afternoon.

Our day was quite busy, as usual. After orientation it was lunchtime, then off to get Jacob's hair cut before school. Before we knew it, it was time to go get MacKenzie. MacKenzie was quick to serve her siblings, and herself, freeze pops when we got home. After snacks and homework, it was off to soccer practice for MacKenzie. Of course, we all had to go, because David doesn't get off until 9:30pm on Wednesday's. Good thing about soccer practice is, it wears everyone out. When it was over, dinner, bath, and bedtime came quickly - Thank God!
